The Opportunity

Adobe is looking for a Principal Engineering Program Manager to partner with the Digital Enablement & Care and Product Engagement System (PES) team in Digital Imaging. In this role, you will lead initiatives that create experiences to enhance in-app engagement for core products aimed at trial, new, and existing users. You will collaborate with senior leaders from product and engineering teams and oversee the successful delivery of intricate engineering projects and programs. Core Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate complex marketing releases with strategic leadership, driving collaborator alignment and visibility for high-impact launches.
  • Partner with product teams to align scope, schedule, and dependencies to build in-app experiences and required content tied to product releases.
  • Work with product and Growth teams to plan meticulously a quarter in advance to implement A/B tests that validate new features with target audiences.
  • Lead migration projects with tight coordination and planning, ensuring alignment with pre-announced launches.
  • Program Management: Translate strategic roadmaps into actionable plans and drive execution to meet business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with product, engineering, design, and business teams to define scope and success criteria.
  • Execution: Manage multiple programs across teams, roles, and organizations with varying scope and complexity.
  • Communication: Ensure clear coordination and visibility across global, distributed teams.
  • Prioritization: Align resources, remove blockers, and support teams in effective project delivery.
  • Technical Awareness: Understand the solution, key dependencies, risks, and required changes for successful delivery.

What you need to succeed

  • 10-12+ years of technical program management experience leading cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes, product development life cycles, and technical concepts.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking; commonly used metrics and data to come up with tactical recommendations and key process improvements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with collaborators at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering (Having a postgraduate degree or equivalent experience is a plus).
  • Relevant certifications in project/program management, such as PMP, PgMP.
  • Experience in managing large cross-functional teams.

The Principal Engineering Program Manager is a key driver of innovation and operational excellence, playing a vital role in ensuring the success of engineering projects and programs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $143,200 -- $269,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
