Position Title: Data Steward Location: Rahway, NJ 07065 Duration: 3 Months Contract Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience as a Data Steward or Quality Analyst. Experience with data analysis, data governance, data standards, business data modeling, metadata, data quality, and/or reporting processes and tools. Experience with data design, data audit, data governance, and IT a plus. Experience in performance management metrics. Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements. Knowledge of data sources, transformation rules, and the use of the data for the area of stewardship. Skills Required: Ability to work across multiple sources of information, including documentation and stakeholders, to gather and validate information Strong communication, both speaking and writing Strong organizational skills Ability to track and present progress on a regular cadence. Schedule and lead working sessions. Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite . Ability to execute analysis of data sets to identify impacts to business processes. Education: Bachelor's Degree Skills highly Preferred: Previous experience in Master Data Management. Knowledge of Master Data Management and Governance. Responsibilities: Requires a candidate for Data Stewardship with strong data management background who understands data, how to ingest data, proper data use / consumption, data quality review and maintenance, and stewardship. Responsibilities include creation and validation of documentation from multiple sources to develop data dictionaries and business process flows. Will perform data analysis and support the identification, development and tracking of data quality measures. Build an understanding and document the data flow, from its source to where it is reported and analyzed. Manage the Strategic Tender Dashboard process, feeding and quality analysis. Manage new data initiatives and related projects by defining high-level business case. Providing requirements and tracking and prioritizing data projects within domain.
