Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities - Validate Performance. Power the Mission.

As an Antenna Test Technician at CAES by Honeywell Lansdale, you'll be at the cutting edge of aerospace and defense validation-ensuring our antennas perform flawlessly in the most demanding environments. Here's how you'll make your mark:

  • Execute Precision Testing: Perform comprehensive antenna, material, and environmental testing using planar near-field ranges, anechoic chambers, and environmental test chambers

  • Author & Improve: Develop acceptance test plans, standard operating procedures, and recommend process enhancements for production testing

  • Operate Advanced Systems: Configure and calibrate range instrumentation systems including PNA, PNA-X, Orbit F/R 959 suite, and NSI near-field software

  • Simulate Real-World Conditions: Set up and run tests in anechoic chambers to collect critical performance data and conduct link budget analysis

  • Support System Development: Collaborate on software and hardware test development for antenna systems and electronic hardware

  • Hands-On Engineering Support: Assist with repair, fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing of antennas and related systems

  • Follow the Specs: Use technical manuals, procedures, and performance specs to execute tests with precision

  • Maintain the Lab: Ensure all test equipment is calibrated, functional, and stocked with necessary parts to support ongoing operations

  • Analyze & Interpret: Set up test sequences, interpret data for validity, and identify performance concerns

  • Report with Insight: Generate detailed test reports and provide actionable recommendations based on historical data and system trends

  • Manage Test Records: Maintain a digital library of test results for customer programs and internal reference


Qualifications

MINIMUM:

  • HS Diploma or GED and two (2) years' of experience in testing of RF components within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient or willing to learn MATLAB and Antenna measurement software.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • This position sometime requires the ability to climb small ladders and the ability to lift 30-40lbs.

PREFERRED:

  • Associate's or Technical Certification strongly preferred.
  • 4 years' experience strongly preferred.
  • Active Security Clearance.
  • Working knowledge of electromagnetics.
  • Experience in antenna technologies.
  • Understanding Orbit F/R software.
  • Work experience using Precision Network Analyzer test set .
  • Experience of tackling key technical problems or innovative designs independently.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Curiosity and sensitivity for science, technology and engineering are essential.

Hourly Range: Production Test Tech II: $20.41hr - $29.62 Production Test Tech III: $25.83 - $37.48 (Lansdale, PA). Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
