Tesla is looking for a passionate and driven Sr. Process Engineer to help us scale the future of cell manufacturing. As a core member of our team, you will help us build cutting-edge production lines for the next generation of Tesla batteries. What You'll Do
- Use advanced data analysis tools (e.g., MySQL, Python, R, JMP, Tableau) to make predictive insights, optimize manufacturing processes, and drive actionable recommendations
- Work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Operations teams to bring new products from prototype to full-scale production
- Lead and drive continuous process improvement initiatives that directly impact production efficiency, yield, capacity, and safety
- Spearhead the integration of automated systems, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous feedback loops
- You will be responsible for the process documentation and ensuring it is kept current like Manufacturing Instructions, Standard works documents, PFMEA, standard works, and Control Plans
What You'll Bring
- A passion for problem-solving, working in high-pressure environments, and driving innovation
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer (process development/improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, constraint analysis, flow optimization)
- Expertise in high-volume automated manufacturing environments and data-driven decision-making
- Strong technical skills in SQL, JMP, Minitab, Tableau, and Python (experience with these tools is a plus)
- Deep domain understanding of process design, manufacturability, assembly methods, and cost reduction techniques
