We are seeking a dynamic and transformational Physical Therapy Manager to lead our adult acute care physical therapy team. While the majority of staff is involved in adult acute care practice, this role also manages staff involved in supporting peri-op services at our Orthopedic center, and ambulatory clinics including neurology, oncology, heart failure, transplant, and pulmonary and cardiac rehab.
*Leadership and Team Management: - Serves as an integral member of the Rehabilitation Services leadership group - Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled physical therapy team. - Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Oversee staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development. - Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all staff - Manages recruitment, team member engagement and retention activities - Address and resolve staff concerns and conflicts effectively. *Operational Oversight: - Ensure efficient daily operations - Manage resource allocation, including staffing and supplies. - Manages department budget and ensures any expenditures are within budget - Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and patient progression. - Implement and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations. - Oversee the maintenance and functionality of PT equipment and rehab spaces. *Clinical Excellence - Uphold high standards of physical therapy practice and patient care. - Monitor compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards. - Support ongoing education and training for the physical therapy staff - Develop and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. - Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities. - Maintains all records pertaining to the staff competency, quality audit, and other related records of assigned staff. *Quality Improvement - Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety and care quality. - Analyze performance data to identify and implement improvement strategies. - Participate in the development and enforcement of policies and procedures. - Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure quality and compliance. - Collaborates with quality improvement teams to address any areas of concern
