Salary: $70,961 - $75,075, depending on experience and qualifications Position Summary The Office of Student Financial Services Technical Analyst will be responsible for data integration processes, reporting, system updates, rule writing, and training of the Office of Student Financial Services staff regarding process changes and system updates. The successful candidate must have experience with SQL (specifically POSTGRES), which is the language utilized by Ellucian Colleague. The Technical Analyst is responsible for providing operational and technical support to end users in Colleague Financial Aid and Accounts Receivable modules. Additional responsibilities include annual update of Colleague Financial Aid and Accounts Receivable modules, website development, and data collection. The Technical Analyst will report to the Associate Vice President of Student Financial Services. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Assist in the maintenance of Colleague Financial Aid, Account Receivable, and Student Self-Service modules and all third-party interfaces, ensuring that the institution follows all federal, state, and institutional requirements. * Performs all electronic file transfers to third-party servicers and providers. * Recommend, develop, and monitor system reports to ensure proper internal control and to maintain accuracy and system integrity. * Work in close partnership with Admissions, Registrar, Student Housing, Institutional Effectiveness & Decision Support, and RFU's Information Technology office, fostering positive relationships across the campus community. * Assist in the collection and verification of financial aid data for federal, state, and institutional reporting regarding student issues and compliance. * Assist in the development and delivery of end-user training material and procedural documentation for financial aid and accounts receivable modules. * Manages all electronic media, updates, and publications via Insite, RFU Connect, etc. * Supports planning and coordination of system rollouts and changes to data modules with guidance from supervisor and IT management. * Perform annual set-up and regular testing of new software releases related to the Colleague Financial Aid and Accounts Receivable modules to ensure compliance. * Provides support relating to data and data analysis for special projects and annual reporting, such as Federal Work Study and Gainful Employment. Conditions of Employment Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check Required Education & Abilities * Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience * 2 years' relevant experience working in student services or with students in a higher education setting Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Knowledge of quality assurance/testing methods, tools, and techniques. * Experience with SQL, specifically POSTGRES. * Ability to write and modify HTML code to structure rules and communications. * Experienced in training end-users on new programs and procedures. * Experienced in producing clear, complete, and concise technical reports and records. * Experienced in complex, technical problem identification and sustaining resolutions. * Experienced working in an academic or administrative computing support environment. * Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. * Ability to understand and follow directions both orally and in writing. * Ability to meet schedules and deadlines. * Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collegial working relationships with others. * Ability to be culturally sensitive to the needs and learning abilities of a diverse user community. Preferred Qualifications * Master's Degree * Previous experience working with Ellucian Colleague ERP/Self-Service, Envision Basic, and Colleague Studio. * Experience working in MS SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
