Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management, Software Quality Assurance, DevOps, UX and other development teams to determine the best architectural designs for the products MiTek creates.

• Work in an Agile software development environment (using Scrum), participating in daily scrum meetings, monthly retrospective and planning meetings.

• Develop POCs to validate that an outcome can be achieved in certain technologies.

• Scaffold applications to ensure scalability and re-usability.

• Create detailed design documents ensuring that the designs are well understood and correctly applied by the development teams.

• Mentor other Software Developers, Technical Architects, and Solution Architects on architectural principles and best practices

• Recommends selection, approval, and acquisition of hardware, software, networking components, and services.

• Help find MiTek opportunities to patent its unique IP as its getting developed.

• Drive Technical Strategy.

• Works with others to develop alternative system and software designs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a related field required, or equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis.

• 10+ years of related experience and/or training required.

• 3+ years of related software architecture experience required.

• Solid expertise in the following to make principal level decisions: BIM, Web Based Development, Data Models, Software Design, Azure/AWS Infrastructure.

• Understanding of MiTek products to enable decision-making for future platforms preferred

• Solid knowledge and experience in software design and development utilizing Object Oriented Design, C#, Angular, React, Blazor, .NET Framework, SQL; ability to work across different tech stacks based on project requirements.
