Staff Research Associate Neurology Full Time 85690BR Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Research Associate (SRA) to support preclinical neuroscience research involving both in vivo animal experimentation and advanced data analysis. The SRA will be responsible for performing and assisting with behavioral assays, surgical procedures, and post-operative animal care in compliance with institutional protocols. In addition to hands-on work with rodent models, the candidate will manage and analyze large-scale datasets using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar platforms, contributing to the interpretation and visualization of complex behavioral and neural data. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in animal handling and data-driven research, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $28.04 - $45.09 (Hourly Rate).
