Your role with us

As a Clinical Nurse in our Endoscopy department, you'll be part of a collaborative and compassionate team dedicated to providing safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. Our four-room unit supports both inpatient and outpatient populations ranging from healthy to critically ill, including adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients. You'll play a critical role in every stage of the endoscopy process, supporting intraoperative care, administering RN-led procedures such as pH and motility tests, and collaborating with anesthesia services for most procedures. Your expertise and patient-centered approach will help ensure smooth procedures, quick recovery, and excellent patient outcomes. We're looking for nurses who are not only clinically competent but also passionate about teamwork, safety, and continued professional growth.

What you'll do

  • Assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, and educational needs prior to, during, and after procedures.
  • Deliver individualized, age-appropriate nursing care based on patient care plans, using critical thinking and clinical judgment.
  • Plan interventions and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure safe and efficient care transitions.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and accurately in the EMR system.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the entire care team using standardized tools like SBAR.
  • Lead with integrity and collaboration, stepping into charge nurse responsibilities when needed, and participating in unit-based performance improvement activities.
  • Prioritize safety by following infection control procedures, proper equipment handling, and ensuring a clutter-free environment.
  • Optimize resources by supporting inventory management, floating as needed, and promoting efficient workflows across units.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BSN) or Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing, or non-nursing bachelor's degree with a Master of Science in nursing (MSN). Candidates with an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) and graduates of a diploma RN program are also encouraged to apply; ADN applicants with less than five years of acute care experience will be required to sign an agreement committing to complete their BSN or MSN degree within three years of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
  • Minimum of one year of RN staff nurse experience.
