Responsibilities

Software Engineer to supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians. The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner. These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools. The TTO is performed out of the Peraton contractor facility and offers flexible hours and telework opportunities.

The Software Engineer will become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language. The development effort uses Agile methods to assign, track and manage software activities and requirements within the team. This position will allow an advanced developer to broaden their skills in the Java language as well as use current technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces.



Qualifications

    A minimum of 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

    • Note: Four (4) additional years of relevant SWE experience may be substituted for the degree.

  • Coordinate software system installations and monitor equipment to ensure it meets operational specifications.
  • Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to gather software requirements and understand system limitations, capabilities, and interface specifications.
  • Implement improvements to documentation and software development processes.
  • Conduct quality control on software products produced by the team.
  • Design and implement complex algorithms that adhere to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

  • Database administration (DBA) development

  • Java

  • SQL

  • Query creation and optimization

  • PostgreSQL

  • ElasticSearch aggregations

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
