Financial Analyst Assistant

Staffmark is hiring a Financial Analyst Assistant to support a dynamic Finance team in Wilmington, DE. This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and data analysis, all while contributing to mission-driven initiatives that promote empowerment and equity.

Pay: $19-$25/hr

Shift: Day shift (schedule to be confirmed upon offer)

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close: account reconciliations, journal entry support, and variance analysis
• Maintain and update financial models and tracking spreadsheets
• Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and internal presentations
• Collect, clean, and analyze financial data from ERP and accounting systems
• Support budgeting and forecasting for programs and operational departments
• Assist with grant tracking, reporting, and compliance monitoring
• Partner with program and operations teams to deliver financial insights
• Ensure documentation is accurate and audit-ready

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or current enrollment) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 0-2 years of finance/accounting experience; internships and nonprofit experience a plus
• Strong Excel skills required; knowledge of Power BI, QuickBooks, or ERP systems is a bonus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for the mission of YWCA and commitment to equity and empowerment
• Familiarity with GAAP, financial modeling, data visualization, or grant compliance is helpful
