The BI Report Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision making across the organization. This role combines technical expertise in SQL reporting, data warehousing, and Microsoft Power-Bi to deliver actionable insights and automated business reports. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions while establishing and maintaining best practices for database modeling and data management.

Essential Functions



  • Analyze business requirements and design SQL reports using both SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Power BI
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations that provide meaningful business insights
  • Develop and optimize database retrieval procedures to ensure efficient data access and reporting performance
  • Plan and execute data warehouse projects to support enterprise reporting needs
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with existing database systems and reporting infrastructure
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide best practices for database modeling
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users experiencing SQL-related challenges
  • Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications for reporting solutions
  • Other duties as assigned



    Required Education and Experience



    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or 3+ years' experience using SQL to create SSRS reports and datasets.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, database development, or related field
    • Proven experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI development
    • Strong background in SQL programming, database design, and data warehousing concepts
    • Expert level ability in SQL & SQL Management Studio.
    • Experienced in using and connecting to Data Warehouse tables.
    • Strong initiative to find ways to improve reports, SQL tables, stored procedures, views, and functions.



    Preferred Skills



    • Ability to set up and maintain SSRS Data Driven Subscriptions (DDS)
    • Familiar with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
    • Knowledge of SharePoint environments for document management and workflow integration
    • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
