Job Overview:

The Certified Medical Assistant is an essential member of the clinical care team, supporting providers across multiple specialties in a fast-paced medical office hub. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs, assisting with examinations and procedures, administering injections and medications as directed, and accurately documenting clinical information in the electronic medical record. The CMA plays a critical role in ensuring efficient patient flow, maintaining clinical equipment and supplies, and delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Completion of a formal nurse assistance training program
  • At least six months experience

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 1 2 years of experience in a medical office or ambulatory care setting preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records; EPIC experience strongly preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • CMA Certification
  • BLS Certification from American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift, 40 hours/week
    • Shift times may vary between 7:30AM-4 PM, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
  • Full-Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
  • Take and record patient vital signs and medical histories
  • Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed by the provider
  • Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately in the EMR
  • Maintain clinical supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical team members
  • Support coordination of care across various specialties within the hub
