General Laborer - Compost Factory (Hidden Valley Transfer Station)

Hidden Valley Transfer Station, a Waste Connections company, is currently hiring a reliable and motivated Laborer to join our Compost Factory team in Puyallup, Washington. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

This is a full-time, year-round position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values teamwork, and takes pride in supporting a clean and sustainable environment.

Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

What You'll Be Doing:

• Support compost operations with general labor tasks, including site cleanup and equipment prep
• Safely direct traffic and trucks entering and exiting the compost facility
• Assist customers and drivers with the unloading and disposal of organic materials
• Operate small equipment as needed
• May occasionally drive within the facility (requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record)

What We're Looking For:

• At least 1 year of experience in a physically demanding outdoor job
• Comfortable working around strong odors and in all weather conditions
• Able to stand and work outdoors for up to 10 hours per shift
• Can lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Willing to work at other locations if needed
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
