 Tool ownership and improvement related to tool uptime (MTBF/MTTR) and quality. Will partner with other equipment/process engineers and operations staff to maintain uptime at key functional areas and identifying human-machine interface issues and providing solutionsExpected to identify significant contributors to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, RF or hydraulic system stability, and provide solutions which improve uptime or performance of wet etch and plasma tools. Experience wet etch process tools a mustExpected to create written operational procedures and mentor/train operators, chemical technicians and maintenance techniciansResponsibilities include tool installs partnership with facilities/vendors, preventive maintenance, and repair of wafer fabrication equipment, including plasma etchers, metal deposition toolsCreate troubleshooting guides specifically for repeated root cause diseasesRoutine review all equipment check-sheets to assure accuracy to meet ISO TL9K & 14001 audit requirementsResponsible for sustaining and improving tool uptime in a 24x7 manufacturing/development facility. Occasionally required to work on off-shifts and on weekends for tool installs, sustaining, troubleshooting and trainingHelp to establish min/max parts estimates and adjusts inventory requirements based on manufacturing demandDesired skills include understanding of statistical process control, Microsoft Office, and the ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, etc.Implements desirable modifications in procedures, methods and processes within the area or responsibility. Estimates requirements and take action accordinglyMust be fully involved with equipment installs, qualification-base line and deinstallation as neededWrite Preventive maintenance procedures and OCAP as neededPublishes weekly progress reportsPerforms job functions at high level with practically no supervisionStrong hands on experience with AMAT P5000 and other plasma toolsFamiliarity with safety procedures and working with hazardous materials is required (LOTO, high voltage, acids, solvents, PPE, MSDS, etc. History of overnight coverage as needed preferred)Publish Daily Power Point Equipment Updates during the daily manufacturing meetings as neededSome familiarity in wet processing tools, photoresist coater & developer tracks, and metrology a plusMust be safety oriented, follow all safety guidelines and all cleanroom procedures 
 Minimum AA/DeVry Degree or equivalent working experience. MS or BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related field with a hands-on focus upon equipment a plusExperience: Minimum of 7 Years in manufacturing environment and hands on experience as an equipment engineerArea of expertise must include: vacuum systems, RF, mechanical design, electrical troubleshooting, data collection and manipulation, visual basic programming or equivalentMust be able to lift 50lbs.Strong hands-on experience with AMAT P5000 and other plasma toolsJustifying upgrades inside areas/chambers that come in contact with the wafer
