Responsibilities: The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms and general diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards. This position plays a key role in delivering accurate, compassionate, and patient-centered care while ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and quality assurance standards. Qualifications: Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, along with two years of relevant experience. Clinical experience during the course of schoolwork/certification is applicable. Certifications: Current certification from the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT); State of Georgia Licensure and certification in Radiologic Technology. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or obtained within six months of hire date. Current CPR certification required or obtained within six months of hire date. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Varied EHR (Athena preferred) systems experience Proficiency in operating digital mammography and general radiographic equipment, with the ability to produce a computer-generated or film image for interpretation by a physician. Knowledge of positioning techniques, radiation safety, and anatomy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing clinical priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care delivery. Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EHR systems. Ability to produce a computer-generated or film image for interpretation by a physician; Ability to maintain equipment and safety standards. Ability to follow physician orders and established imaging protocols.
