Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

What we're seeking:

Plans and controls inventory activities by analyzing data-based application systems forecasts. Develop and maintain inventory requirements, to ensure service levels, inventory turnover and distribution of inventory provide efficient use of company resources. Process system generated and manual materials requests (reqs and MTFs) including expediting materials, as required. Investigates discrepancies and initiates correction action to forecasts and distribution requirements based on available stocking plans. Coordinates and requests follow up activities for inventory stocked at Supply Point locations.

In this in-person role, you will be required to report to a defined work location to complete your work responsibilities. (Call out hub)

What you'll do:

* Oversee intensive warehouse operation which includes managing associates
* Responsible for hiring, training and performance of all personnel
* Track productivity levels for improvement and efficiencies
* Conduct monthly safety meeting
* Ensure compliance to safe work practices at all times
* Responsible for customer service by proactively looking at operational needs and communicating either directly or via email
* Ensure all contractual metrics for inbound and outbound processing and inventory controls, etc. are consistently met or exceeded
* Responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy (99.5%) on all outbound shipments in order to avoid claim
* Must be able to operate in an efficient/cost conscious manner so that all budgeted objectives are achieved
* Maintain a clean and organized facility that is "tour ready" at all times
* Identify areas for improvement in all aspect of the warehouse operations, develop standard operating procedures and implement to field
* Monitor yard activity
* Manage the facilities housekeeping program to ensure all areas are continuously free of all debris
* Maintain a well-trained staff that could be promoted through cross training and mentoring
* Adhere to all management objectives

What background you should have:



  • 3+ years direct management experience running a warehouse/ dock operation
  • Experience managing non-exempt employees (preferably union)
  • Must have experience driving productivity and financial objectives
  • Absolutely a strong tactical (hands on) management style
