What this job involves:

The Facility Manager role is designed to ensure proper operation of all facility aspects across two manufacturing/warehouse locations. In this position, you will establish and maintain a comprehensive facility management program overseeing building operations, systems, and equipment. This balanced role combines 50% hands-on maintenance work with 50% management responsibilities, requiring both technical expertise and leadership skills. You'll lead an on-site team while personally handling maintenance tasks and administrative duties. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic mix of practical building maintenance and strategic facility management.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Manage facility operations for two manufacturing/warehouse locations
  • Lead and develop a team of on-site personnel, evaluating their performance
  • Implement safety initiatives to improve awareness and positively change behaviors
  • Develop and track energy conservation and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Collect and respond to client feedback through formal and informal channels
  • Oversee life cycle asset maintenance and vendor preventive maintenance schedules
  • Complete compliance training and ensure timely execution of critical PMs
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct relationship meetings with key stakeholders and clients
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation capabilities
  • Proven record of providing outstanding internal and external customer service
  • Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices
  • Proficiency with Excel and data analysis skills
  • Experience with work order management systems
  • Understanding of facility compliance requirements and regulations
  • Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong background in electrical systems and/or HVAC operations
  • Previous experience managing manufacturing or warehouse facilities
  • Experience implementing and documenting energy conservation initiatives
  • Background in life cycle asset management
  • Team leadership experience in a facilities environment
  • Knowledge of safety protocols specific to industrial settings
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts
