About the Role

As an Associate Art Director on the BetMGM Creative team, you'll play a key role in shaping bold, visually compelling creative across multiple marketing and content platforms. You'll collaborate with copywriters, designers, brand leads, and marketers to develop and execute integrated campaigns that captivate audiences and reinforce BetMGM's position as a leader in sports and entertainment.

Your designs will set the tone for BetMGM's visual storytelling, driving ideas from concept through final execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Copywriters to develop original concepts and designs for integrated marketing campaigns across TV, OOH, social, digital, CRM, and experiential.

• Translate marketing strategies into striking visuals that resonate with diverse audiences.

• Uphold and evolve BetMGM's visual identity across all touchpoints while adhering to brand guidelines.

• Collaborate closely with creative directors, designers, brand managers, and marketing stakeholders to ensure visual alignment with messaging and strategic goals.

• Present creative concepts and design approaches to internal stakeholders, applying feedback to refine and enhance deliverables.

• Stay current with design trends, pop culture, and emerging media to keep creative fresh and culturally relevant.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high design standards and meeting deadlines.

• Contribute to the development and documentation of design systems and style guides.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

• Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.

• Travel may be required periodically for conferences or cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in art direction or design, ideally within an agency or fast-paced in-house creative team.

• A portfolio showcasing a range of work that demonstrates strong concept development and design execution across various media.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with motion graphics or video editing tools is a plus.

• Strong understanding of typography, composition, and branding principles.

• Ability to translate marketing strategies into impactful creative solutions.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

• Passion for sports, gaming, and/or entertainment a bonus.

The annual salary range for this position is $70000 to $80000 which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
