What We DoProvides high-level administrative support and assists attorneys in the preparation of letters, pleadings, documents and filings for pursuit of recovery of company losses. Ensures compliance with rules, regulations and laws of various local, state and federal courts and governmental agencies. Performs legal research, organizes and compiles data. May have direct consumer and attorney contact to explain documents or gather and provide information.

What You'll Do:

  • Provides administrative support to an attorney and/or legal team in a fast-paced environment
  • Assists with collections processes by managing documentation and correspondence related to account recovery efforts
  • Tracks recoveries to ensure payments received and/or follow up with debtors when delinquent
  • Performs administrative and fact-finding duties
  • Reviews documents for basic information
  • Prepares basic internal memoranda and routine correspondence
  • Files documents, organizes, and maintains files, prepares indices with supervision
  • Maintains and updates internal client lists to ensure accurate records

What You'll Bring:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in legal studies or related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in a law firm or corporate legal department
  • Familiairty with legal terminology, court filings and basic legal procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with legal document management software a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

The pay range for this role is $47,425.00 - $63,200.00

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
