How you will make history here... Directly supervise our over-the-road drivers, outside carriers, and back up for drivers and daily dispatch, as needed. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include input into interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving personnel issues. Verifying product conformance to company specifications, HACCP/CTS guidelines, and quality standards. Maintaining all documentation and records required by Federal law. Ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completely and properly filled out and processed. Ensuring that the product is delivered under safe and sanitary conditions. - 8 -12 Hour shift. Flexibility to work other schedules and shifts as required. Overtime is required.
- Review and download pertinent information with other supervisors and managers.
- Coordination of daily dispatch as needed.
- Interpret company policies to drivers and enforce hygiene and safety regulations.
- Coordinate classroom and on-the-job training for new and transferred employees.
- Conduct training in new procedures, OSHA and other federally mandated compliance programs etc.
- Maintain time and attendance records for drivers.
- Ensure we are ELD compliant.
- Review order schedule and estimate driver fleet and 3PL requirements for completion.
- Interpret specifications and job orders to employees and assign duties as required.
- Ensure video responses from ELD are addressed.
- Establish or adjust transportation schedules.
- Implement measures to route optimization.
- Analyze and resolve work problems and assist employees in solving work related issues.
- Facilitate work group and plant safety meetings
- Must have Complete understanding of DOT rules and regulations
- Ensures DOT Logs and VCR are accurate and complete; must maintain DOT files
- Oversees Company's compliance with all government regulations regarding vehicles and drivers, (DOT); monitors compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Working closely with Ryder for maintaining PF fleet and verifying invoices from Ryder
- Be able to maintain DOT fuel reporting.
- Maintain asset inventory and ensure invoices are properly being to sent to the correct cost center.

What you bring to the table...
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 + years' experience in DOT based or transportation-based role
- Solid knowledge of Excel
It would be great to have...
- Associates degree preferred
- 3 + years related experience and/or training in high paced, environment equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid knowledge of SAP/ARIBA
- Solid knowledge of Uber and the ability to plan loads within Uber.
- Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices
- Computer proficiency is required in the following: Time and Attendance, Outlook, Windows based software applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Uber-TMS, Capable to deliver presentations and training to various audiences; familiar with Encompass or ELD system
- Environment - Work divided between office and plant environment. Some outside work in the yard may also be required. While in the plant noise levels will be minimal to moderate and temperature will be controlled. Lighting is sufficient. There is a possibility of slippery footing.
Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $60,900-$87,500
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
