What you'll do As a Software Engineer I - Application Security, you will support the secure development and maintenance of Infinite Campus SaaS products. You will help identify and document software vulnerabilities, participate in security-focused code and design reviews and contribute to efforts that harden systems against potential threats. This role also includes developing and maintaining automated tools and processes to detect and address security issues, collaborating closely with development teams to prototype and implement secure solutions and promoting best practices throughout the organization to foster a strong security-aware culture. The engineer will be encouraged to stay current on industry threats and continuously seek ways to improve the organization's security posture. Who you are The ideal candidate for this position is someone early in their software engineering career who has a passion for cybersecurity, problem-solving, and collaboration. This person should be self-motivated, eager to learn and capable of working both independently and within a team. They would benefit from previous experience with secure software development, familiarity with web technologies and a genuine interest in improving the safety and integrity of educational technology solutions. Your skill-set You will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and experience in application security; OR three years application security work experience. Proficiency in Java, web technologies like JavaScript, SQL, and JSP and an understanding of application security tools such as DAST, SAST, SCA, or proxies. Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Gradle is helpful, as is experience working in CI/CD environments. You should have strong communication skills, an analytical mindset and a commitment to learning new technologies and security practices..
