Job Description	ECU Department of Joyner Library Services is currently seeking Graduate and Undergraduate Stacks Student Assistants. The Stacks Student Assistants will support the library's mission by helping maintain an organized, accessible, and welcoming collection. This role focuses on shelving, shelf-reading, retrieving materials, and ensuring library users can efficiently locate the resources they need. Key Responsibilities: Accurately shelve books and other materials according to the library's classification system Perform regular shelf-reading to maintain order and identify missing or misplaced items Retrieve materials for holds and special requests Assist with minor cleaning and organization of the stacks area Provide directional assistance to patrons when appropriate Schedule: Flexible hours based on student's class schedule and library needs. Typical hours available: (M-F) 9am - 8pm
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)	Qualifications: Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Ability to lift, bend, and push book carts (up to approximately 40 lbs) Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining accuracy
