Job Summary:


Completes technical writing tasks, document reviews, proofs, and edits that facilitate the successful design, development, and execution of high-quality electronic and written publications. Writes, edits, and proofreads contract deliverables of various sizes, scopes, and technical content consistently ensuring clarity, usability, and transparency for all involved stakeholders. Works as a member of the business development team to compose and edit professionally presented, well-written, competitive, and compliant proposals that support and align with enterprise objectives.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Writes and edits reports, information, educational materials, presentations, and other communications to provide consistent deliverables to the organization.
  • Edits and proofs contract deliverables of various size, scope, and technical content to ensure clarity and usability for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Implements processes to ensure the proper citation of authoritative sources in written materials.
  • Edits content for accessibility, ensuring compliance with the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1998.
  • Participates in peer reviews of project and organizational documentation, to ensure consistency with marketing standards.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge to work with technical staff to present technical information and analyses in a logical, understandable manner targeted for diverse audiences.
  • Identifies opportunities to update and maintain the corporate style guide and standards in line with overall department branding standards.
  • Develops and researches complex content for articles, press releases, newsletters, annual reports, and other internally generated publications, including e-media.
  • Works as a member of the business development team to compose and edit professionally presented, well-written, competitive, and compliant proposals.

  • Project Management- Project/program team member.



Required Experience

Education (education can be substituted for experience):



  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree



Work Experience (experience can be substituted for education)



  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience preferred
  • 508 Compliance expertise strongly preferred
