The Front Desk Support Person is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to guests while managing front desk operations. This role involves handling reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries, while ensuring a welcoming, organized, and efficient motel experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Greet and assist guests in a professional and friendly manner.



  • Answer phone calls, take messages, make reservations, and direct inquiries appropriately.



  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.



  • Process new reservations and perform light administrative tasks, such as counting inventory.



  • Assist with daily operational tasks (e.g., folding leftover laundry, cleaning the gym, and other CQ1 property common areas).



  • Stay up to date on motel services, amenities, and local attractions to provide guests with accurate and helpful recommendations.



  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are guest-ready and resolve any issues that arise during a guest's stay.



  • Address guest concerns or complaints with patience and professionalism, seeking timely solutions.



  • Follow safety protocols to ensure guest security and comfort, including monitoring entry and exit to the premises.



  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation as needed.




Qualifications:




  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training or certifications are a plus.



  • Experience: Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not required.




Skills:




  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.



  • Proficient with computer systems, including motel management software.



  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.



  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.



  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist guests and coworkers.




Physical & Schedule Requirements:




  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.



  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., supplies, carts).



  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
