We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Sr. Production Control Analyst to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. The Sr. Production Control Analyst will coordinate product flow from product release throughout the Value Stream to shipping in order to meet manufacturing and customer requirements. Plans and establishes production schedules to meet customer demands. Develops production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities.

Summary:


Coordinates product flow from product release throughout the Value Stream to shipping in order to meet manufacturing and customer requirements. Plans and establishes production schedules to meet customer demands. Develops production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities.



Responsibilities:



  • Assists in production activity control to meet business and financial objectives.
  • Works with managers and team leaders to plan and manage production tasks to improve runtime.
  • Reviews production plans to identify and report potential risks to manager.
  • Develops inventory control techniques to improve product flow, achieve pull-loop SLA's and avoid shortages and excesses.
  • Processes customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule.
  • Coordinates the documents required for product shipments and prepare and move the finished product to shipping.
  • Assists managers in controlling production costs while maintaining the quality standards.
  • Reviews job orders and accordingly establish priorities and schedules.
  • Monitors execution of job orders and adjusts schedules for timely delivery.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on company objectives, production strategies and support activities.
  • Plans and monitors material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations.
  • Works with managers and team leaders to plan equipment, material and manpower needs for job order.
  • Coordinates with manager in resolving production planning and control issues.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time and within customer specifications.
  • Communicates production updates to managers and internal customers on regular basis.
  • May provide oversight and training to other, related positions and function as team lead in absence of regularly assigned supervision.
  • Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and processes. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.


  • Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contributes to 5 S program in work area.
  • Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.



Requirement/Qualifications:


Education: AS degree in Business Administration or related experience.


Experience: 5+ years in Production Control in a manufacturing environment or related experience. Requires a strong understanding of the production process and be able to have experience with generating and maintaining effective daily and weekly schedules. Work is highly independent.
