The Quality Supervisor will lead the efforts toward the achievement and adherence to quality management systems such as IATF16949 and plant preparation for external customer and third-party quality audits. This role is based out of Rensselaer, IN and would require this individual to be on site regularly.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Leads the efforts toward the achievement and adherence to quality management systems such as IATF16949 and plant preparation for external customer and third-party quality audits.

  • Provides work direction, leadership and development. QA Leads, PLC Clerk, QA Auditors, Inventory Control, PLC associates, Inbound QA Clerk.

  • Investigates and adjusts inventory control issues, communicates packaging exceptions with intercompany/interplants and leads the Material Review Board (MRB) efforts to determine the disposition of non-conforming materials.

  • Internal and Layered Process Audits production processes for achievement of quality expectations and facilitates corrective action and process improvements based upon the audit results.

  • Publishes accomplishments against plant quality operating goals.

  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability as well as, coach associated through the problem-solving process to identify problem areas and solve them, including manufacturing processes, reducing set up time, equipment problems and reducing scrap.

  • Ensure SOPs are current based on existing processes within QA Management system.

  • Train employees on procedures, methods, problem solving, programming, quality requirements, team methods and safety.

  • Resolve employee relation issues through effective remediation techniques.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a warehouse function.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business administration, engineering or a relevant field is required

  • 5+ years of previous quality experience in a manufacturing setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Supervisory or management experience

  • Prior IATF system experience

  • Warehouse Management System experience.

  • Oracle

  • Ability to apply Six Sigma tools and principles such as Process Capability, Gage RR, Design of Experiments, and DMAIC in a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience facilitating 8D analysis and implementing corrective actions internally and externally.

  • Ability to function as theliaison between the plant and the customer

  • Experiencesetting strategic direction for a function and providing team leadership to accomplish functional or project objectives

Relocation:This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
