The team specializes in tax provision, tax compliance, tax controversy, and tax advisory services across the organization. The team ensures that Macquarie and its investments meet all tax filing requirements, effectively resolves any tax issues with the IRS and state authorities, and provides strategic tax guidance on mergers and acquisitions.

What role will you play?

Serve as partnership executive within Tax Reporting team, which is responsible for preparation and/or review of corporate federal and state income and franchise tax returns (annual, quarterly, extensions) of entities within Americas Region, including providing array of services to partnership team as well as finance, advisory, and other direct tax teams. Specific duties involve preparing U.S. federal and state 1065 partnership income tax returns, ensuring accurate disclosures based on entity's financial performance, which will require deep technical understanding, analysis, and collaboration with various teams; manage tax accounting for partnership entities and partners, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) considerations; manage third-party suppliers for compliance and accounting tasks; and provide tax basis calculations and balance sheet analysis that will impact group's financial position and market disclosures.
$94,000 - $127,000 per year.
Within this salary range the base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. What you offer

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 3 years of experience in job offered or 3 years of accounting experience within investment banking and/or management consulting
  • Prior experience must include 3 years preparing U.S. federal and state 1065 partnership income tax returns, ensuring all associated disclosures are accurately reflected based on entity's financial performance
  • 3 years performing monthly tax provisioning, including executing tax accounting responsibilities for partnership entities and partners, encompassing all facets of IFRS and GAAP considerations
  • 3 years participating in OSP management, including managing third-party suppliers contracted to perform compliance and accounting tasks for partnership investments or operationally segregated subsidiaries within partnership structures
  • 3 years performing basis analysis and other related tasks, including providing tax basis calculations and balance sheet analysis
  • 3 years working with IFRS and GAAP.
