The Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Operations (SIO) will play a critical role in advancing the Dallas College Foundation's mission by providing high-level support across key operational and programmatic functions. This role will support Foundation Board relations and coordination, scholarship programming, special projects, and fund monitoring aligned with strategic institutional goals. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives and Operations, the Senior Manager will serve as a cross-functional partner, ensuring efficient execution, alignment, and accountability across a diverse portfolio of initiatives that drive student success, philanthropy, and organizational effectiveness.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven experience and knowledge in program development and project management.

  • Exhibits strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Strong collaborator who thrives in matrixed, team-oriented environments and fast-paced settings.

  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams to manage shifting priorities while maintaining professionalism and composure.

  • Advanced proficiency with technology, including data systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences across various levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Must have strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, detail-oriented approach to work, strong decision-making skills, good follow-up, ability to complete tasks. Proven skills and experience providing effective customer service.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of work-related experience and knowledge in program development and project management within a higher education or non-profit environment.

  • Official transcripts will be required.

Key Responsibilities

Board Relations & Coordination

  • Support Foundation board logistics, including developing board material, managing board communication and coordination with board members and committees to ensure engagement and alignment with Foundation goals.

  • Support the planning and execution of quarterly board meetings, retreats, and special sessions.

Scholarship Program Support

  • Provide operational and strategic support for scholarship programming, including student engagement and programming logistics, data tracking and donor reporting.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure scholarship processes are aligned with donor intent and student need.

  • Assist in continuous improvement of scholarship-related systems and reporting.

Strategic Projects & Initiative Support

  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and special projects led by the SIO team, including internal working groups and partnerships across the College.

  • Track progress against strategic plans and ensure timely execution of milestones.

  • Monitor Foundation-designated funds, expenditures and outcomes to ensure alignment with donor intent, prescribed milestones and outcomes, and compliance with organizational policy.

  • Collaborate with finance and advancement teams to track fund performance and support data-informed decision-making.

  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing fund utilization and impact.
