Assistant CNC Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist in the operation of CNC machinery and digital fabrication equipment

2. Load CNC tables and prepare materials for production

3. Monitor densifier operations and participate in required maintenance & cleaning.

4. Ensure accuracy and quality of fabricated parts through careful attention to detail

5. Work closely with the team to maintain efficient production workflows

6. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

7. Continuously learn new skills and technologies related to digital fabrication

8. Safety: Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations by all employees

9. Productivity: Maintain utilization specified by supervisor and/or lead

10. Coordinates: Communicate with other operators on any issues or shortages to supervisor or lead

11. Team player and willing to work closely with others

12. Dexterity: Employee would work with their hands, and need to be able to lift or hold heavy items

13. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

* Prior Manufacturing experience is a plus

* Some experience with CNC machinery or digital fabrication preferred

* Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
