Job Overview
The Sr Supply Chain Planning Manager at T-Mobile is crucial in synchronizing procurement plans with prevailing demand forecasts, ensuring that inventory levels across all locations are optimized to meet corporate objectives. This role oversees a significant annual spend in Device and/or Network sectors, spearheading requisition processes and securing executive approvals. By leading weekly cross-functional meetings, the manager effectively addresses exceptions, mitigates supply disruptions, and promotes alignment across product lines. The role is also responsible for developing strategies to address supply chain or OEM-related challenges and enhancing the performance metrics of the IPP team. With a focus on strategic supply chain management, this position significantly contributes to the operational efficiency and goal achievement of T-Mobile.
Job Responsibilities:
- Aligns buy plans with current demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels across all locations and are in alignment with corporate goals
- Oversees annual spend in Device and/or Network sectors, spearheading requisition processes and securing executive approvals
- Leads weekly cross-functional meetings to address exceptions, mitigate supply disruptions, and promote alignment across product lines
- Develops strategies to address supply chain or OEM-related challenges
- Enhances the performance metrics of the IPP team
- Contributes to the operational efficiency and goal achievement of the organization through strategic supply chain management
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, Business, or Economics (Required)
- Master's/Advanced Degree Supply Chain Management or Business Administration (Preferred)
- 4-7 years Experience in supply chain planning and inventory management in the telecommunications sector Required
- 4-7 years Experience in leading cross-functional teams to address supply chain disruptions and align product lines Preferred
- 4-7 years Experience in developing and implementing strategic supply chain management solutions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strategic Planning- Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and meet organizational goals. (Required)
- Supply Chain- Deep understanding of supply chain processes including procurement, inventory management, and logistics. (Required)
- Leadership- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and direct a team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. (Preferred)
- Problem Solving- Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to address and resolve operational challenges effectively. (Required)
- Analytics- Proficiency in using analytical tools and methodologies to evaluate supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities. (Required)
- Cross Functional Relationships- Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of supply chain strategies. (Required)
- Microsoft Excel- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. (Required)
- Communication- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective stakeholder engagement. (Required)
- Change Management- Experience in managing change, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new processes or systems within the supply chain. (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification from APICS that demonstrates knowledge and organizational skills for developing more streamlined operations. (Preferred)
- Six Sigma - Champion Leadership Certification that indicates expertise in the methodologies and tools of Six Sigma for process improvement and quality management. (Preferred)
- Supply Chain Management (CPIM) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) This certification from APICS provides professionals with the ability to understand and evaluate production and inventory activities within a company's global operations. (Preferred)

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
