Description

The Podcast and Video Production position will primarily support the recording and editing of the new podcast, Purpose Ignited. The podcast will be recorded in the College of Business Content Creation Studio or School of Communication.

May be eligble for Federal Work Study.

Responsibilities:
Prepare audio and video equipment for recording sessions and reset equipment to original setup at the end of sessions
Position camera and monitor audio levels during podcast recording
Shoot simple, organic behind-the-scenes footage on the host's iPhone for social media
Edit audio and video footage using Descript or Adobe Premiere Pro, deleting sections with errors and adding transitions/intros
Edit short clips for social media
Upload finished footage to podcast hosting platform for distribution
Assist with other editing or production tasks as needed

The successful candidate will be:
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Able to execute basic camera operations
Experienced and efficient at video editing

Preferred:
Film Production, Communication, or related major
Sophomore-level or higher, or 2+ years experience with video production and editing
Social media experience
