Job Summary

Security and Environmental Health and Safety (S&EHS) provides quality leadership, services and solutions to safeguard people and the environment, secure and protectcompany information and assets and enhance operational efficiency.You will serve as the Manager of Personnel Security responsible for ensuring personnel security operations and activities in support of corporate, contractual, and government requirements.

Work Model

This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA, which requires 100% onsite work.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversees daily personnel security operations for collateral clearances and SCI access including clearance processing, incoming/outgoing visitor control, termination debriefings, government personnel badging, reporting incidents and support to meetings
  • Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures; recommends modifications to operating policies. Supports enterprise personnel security functions and projects.
  • Provides for employee identification verification for business purposes (e.g., I-9, citizenship, Local Registration Authority (LRA), government accounts, etc.).
  • Responsible for hiring, developing, supervising, training, scheduling overtime, approving time off, determining objectives, initiating action and completing annual performance reviews of staff.
  • Responds to management inquiries regarding clearance status and concerns, and answers all questions, including personnel security metrics.
  • Acts as account manager for various government databases and act as Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to various government customers.
  • Actively participates on personnel security database upgrades, implementations and changes; reviews and provides input to corporate security training and branding; conducts and oversees security briefings.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve processes in Personnel Security, streamline processes, and work across the enterprise to implement change
  • Maintains good relationships and communications with management, government customers, and industry partners
  • Responsible for ensuring the Personnel Security self-inspection program is conducted and compliant with customer regulations.
  • Supports other security-related duties and enterprise support as required

What You Need to Be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree
  • Current TS/SCI with ability to maintain clearances/accesses
  • Previous management or leadership experience
  • Ability to maintain security as well as confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • Experience with security best practices, standards, and methodologies
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
  • Must communicate clearly and in a professional manner (verbal, written, presentations, etc.)
  • Full understanding of the DOD and SCI clearance and visitor control process
  • Must have complete knowledge of SWFT, DISS, NBIS, Talon, scattered castles, and other databases
  • Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM and customer regulations
  • Experience processing SCI nominations

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Ten or more years of relevant managerial experience with a master's degree
  • Completion of the CDSE FSO certification or other security-related certifications (e.g., ISP, CPP, etc.)
  • Current TS/SCI with adjudicated polygraph
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, SIMs, etc.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$111,500 - $167,200 Pay Basis: Annual
