We're hiring an IFR Pilot to provide medical air transportation services to our customers. This pilot will be qualified to fly our EC135/H135 aircraft. Scheduled shifts run seven days on / seven days off, 12-hour shifts, and service day or night trips. Safety is a key pillar of our services; therefore, all of our pilots work on a quality, professional team committed to high safety standards for both crew and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate aircraft in support of medical transport missions across various REACH base locations. Collaborate with medical crews to ensure efficient and secure patient transport. Perform aircraft pre-flight checks, ensure operational readiness, and uphold cleanliness standards. Comply with all FAA regulations and company procedures. Maintain accurate flight documentation and records, including load manifests and shift logs. Communicate effectively with air and ground dispatch, medical crews, and facility partners. Participate in shift transitions and provide clear documentation on change boards. Maintain required licenses, certifications, and ongoing training compliance. Adapt quickly to new base locations with limited prior area knowledge.
Pilot Minimum Requirements:
FAA Rotorcraft Commercial Certificate Helicopter Instrument Rating Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate - Experience Requirements:
- 2,000 helicopter flight hours
- 1,000 helicopter PIC hours
- 1,000 turbine hours
- Minimum 100 cumulative hours of instrument flight time
o 75 hours of actual instrument time o 25 hours of simulated instrument time Minimum 200 helicopter night hours (aided and/or unaided)
Pilot Incentives:
Hourly position - 20% Geo Mod
- $5,000 IFR Stipend
$15,000 sign-on bonus $40,000 Retention Bonus after 36 months in the GMR Pilot Retention Bonus Plan 24-hour pilot housing provided 7-on / 7-off schedule
Physical Requirements:
- 230-pound weight limit, including flight gear
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
- Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must work near moving mechanical parts and in various weather conditions
- Frequently exposed to bloodborne pathogens, airborne particles, and in-flight vibrations
- Noise levels may require wearing a headset
Mental Requirements:
- Ability to make sound, time-sensitive decisions under pressure
- Follow oral and written instructions precisely
- Adapt to irregular schedules and changing operational needs
Previous Airbus EC135/H135 or similar aircraft experience preferred, but not required.
