What to Expect
Working within the Materials & Fasteners Engineering group at Tesla, this individual will be responsible for coordinating internal and outsourced validation activities. This will primarily involve the management of logistics for test materials, contracts with third-party vendors, documentation of test details and results, and collaboration with design engineering, test engineering, testing laboratories, supply chain management, and program management.

What You'll Do
  • Continually engage with design engineering, program management, and internal test functions to determine and document requirements for testing
  • Gather documentation for test requests to enable internal test execution or accurate quoting of third-party test services
  • Engage third-party test labs to quote test requests and determine the best option for execution considering cost, timing, and criticality
  • Coordinate preparation and shipment of test materials, including sourcing, fabrication, and all logistics
  • Build and maintain trackers to ensure testing stays on schedule
  • Maintain open and continuous lines of communication with internal and external laboratories to quickly relay concerns and test results
  • Maintain robust documentation of purchase orders, test reports, and shipment records

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Bias for action, strong organizational and presentation skills, and resource management ability are critical
  • Experience in an administrative, program management, or laboratory capacity preferred
  • Experience with materials and fasteners testing techniques preferred
  • MS Office competency required; experience with Atlassian tools preferred

    Expected Compensation
    $18.40 - $39.60/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
