V3 Sports is a nonprofit located in vibrant North Minneapolis, focused on elevating our community through wellness, fitness, and education! Thanks to our amazing partners, donors, and incredible community members, we have been making waves in Minneapolis, serving over a thousand families since 2007.

Founded as a non-profit in 2007, the mission of V3 Sports mission is to elevate our community through wellness, fitness and education. In 2024, V3 Sports opened Phase One of the V3 Center, a 40,000 square foot health and wellness center that will grow to be a North Minneapolis community asset and a regional destination. The focus of Phase One is to provide a place for Northside residents of all ages to access water, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, physical rehabilitation and enjoy healthy and delicious food offerings. Phase Two, which V3 Sports is actively fundraising for, will be a regional destination for sporting events, career fairs, community events, and other drivers of economic stability. At the V3 Center, Northside young people and families will access programming that supports their career and economic aspirations and builds the skills they need to make their dreams reality.

Wages and Benefits

$30 per hour; Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST). V3 Sports sponsors a retirement plan with a 4% employer match and immediate vesting.

A Typical Day in the Life...

A typical day in the life of a Group Fitness Instructor at V3 Sports provides an opportunity to lead high-energy, inclusive workouts that motivate members of all fitness levels in a safe and supportive environment, and will include the following:

• Lead safe, effective, and high-energy group fitness classes designed for a wide range of fitness levels
• Offer modifications and progressions to ensure every participant can succeed and feel supported
• Design and deliver class plans that reflect V3 Sports' mission and inclusive approach to wellness
• Foster a welcoming, motivating environment by building strong relationships with members
• Ensure proper use and care of equipment, maintaining cleanliness and safety before and after each class
• Actively promote group fitness offerings to boost member participation and engagement
• Stay informed on the latest industry trends and pursue ongoing professional development
• Monitor and track class attendance to support program evaluation and improvement

Who You Are

• You have a strong ability to engage and motivate groups with positive energy and confidence.
• You take pride in delivering excellent customer service and creating a warm, welcoming environment.
• You're skilled at adapting workouts to meet the needs of participants at all fitness levels.
• You know how to observe form and provide respectful, constructive feedback to support participant safety.
• You understand proper exercise techniques and use your knowledge to help prevent injury and improve results.
• You bring enthusiasm and professionalism to every class, inspiring others through your energy.
• You're proactive in promoting your classes and helping build a strong community of participants.
• You show up consistently and on time, recognizing that reliability is essential to the role.
• You hold a Group Fitness Instructor Certification from an NCCA-accredited organization (ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, AFAA, or NETA), and/or have specialty certifications such as Yoga, Pilates, or Dance Fitness.
• You are able and willing to maintain current CPR, First Aid, AED, and BBP certifications. (For new hires, training will be provided during onboarding.)
