The Opportunity: We are seeking a Part Time Deposit Operations Support Specialist to join our Deposit Operations team. Under direct supervision, execute assigned duties with efficiency and accuracy within promised service level agreements. Duties include providing support to Check 21 processors, assisting with the response to garnishments, levies and subpoenas, assisting with processing of returned US mail and handling administrative and project tasks as assigned.



Availability Requirement: Monday through Friday 12pm-5pm



What You'll Do:



  • Prioritize, process, repair and balance Check 21 images deposited within the credit union in accordance with correspondent bank and ECCHO.
  • Make adjustments to image capture of branch items, write up corrections.
  • Assist with processing garnishments, levies and subpoenas received from courts or attorneys, including opening mail, identifying members, completing requests for documents.
  • Process returned US mail and DFCU debit cards. Apply appropriate restrictions and notes in DNA and initiating correspondence with the member.
  • Adhere to internal controls and procedures to minimize risk and prevent loss.


What You'll Need:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year financial services operations experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of balancing procedures and check negotiability.
  • Demonstrated math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated and professional attitude.
