Overview:

The Director of IT Transformation is a strategic leader responsible for evolving IT delivery practices and advancing the multi-year transformation roadmap. This role is pivotal in embedding the IT Operating Model across IT, and the Enterprise Operating Model across the company as we evolve the way IT is done in the company. This person will champion more modern ways of working, and driving executional excellence through a high-performing, lean approach. The successful candidate will operate as both a coach and an active contributor, enabling enterprise-wide execution with a focus on clarity, consistency, and measurable outcomes.

Location: Hybrid (Onsite 2+ Days/Week)

Responsibilities:

  • Establish & Lead a High-Impact Transformation Practice: Build and manage a best-in-class transformation function in close partnership with the PMO, focused on a re-designed approach to how IT engages, plans, and delivers across the enterprise
  • Drive New Operating Model Adoption: Execute and reinforce the core principles of both the IT and Enterprise Operating Model within IT and our business partners, ensuring consistency, alignment, and accountability at all levels
  • Modernize Delivery Practices: Develop and implement enhanced execution methodologies and standardized processes that support investment planning, governance, and delivery excellence-working collaboratively with PMO leadership and key business partners
  • Enable Organizational Model Change and Adoption: Serve as a visible and compelling change agent-articulating the vision for transformation, addressing resistance, and fostering understanding and engagement across stakeholder groups
  • Align IT Strategy with Business Objectives: Collaborate with IT leadership and Enterprise Architecture to ensure initiatives are strategically prioritized, KPI-driven, and outcome-focused-supporting long-term business goals
  • Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead the planning and delivery of select high-priority initiatives as defined by the IT Leadership Team (ITLT), ensuring effective execution, stakeholder alignment, and sustained impact

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: At least a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field with experience is required.A master's degree is strongly preferred.

  • Relevant Experience:15+ years of experience in IT organizations, with a demonstrable background in delivering large complex modern technology initiatives, within a global organization. The candidate will also have experience leading change across both IT and business partner cohort groups - with an adapt ability to influence and drive through the change curve

  • Leadership:5+ years of experience in managing teams, with expert communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive consensus through collaboration

  • Industry Background: Experience working within global, multi-functional IT industries - some background within biotech, pharma, or life sciences is a strong plus.

  • Fast Paced Environment: Ability to adapt quickly, problem-solve, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving IT environment.
