Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist, you will ensure accuracy on medication distribution to Omnicell; ensure removal of expired medication; assist in inventory management; assist in pharmacy audit functions; resolve or provide guidance to the hospital clinical staff; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; update the Pharmacist in Charge about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: This position does not have any regularly scheduled shifts and will work as needed.

Starting Pay: $60.00 to $68.00 per hour, based on experience

About the Facility:University Behavioral Health of Denton is a 104-bed private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Inpatient and day hospital services offer supportive and compassionate care for adolescents and adults through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of the patients. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:This centralized pharmacy utilizes Health Care Systems and utilizes Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets. Pharmacy hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm 7 days a week.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Texas
  • Recent experience in a hospital setting preferred, but not required
  • Omnicell and or Pyxis experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements:

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof ofnegativeTB skin test within thelast 12 months
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
