Temporary Position Summary
The CPS Energy Internship Program is designed to meet the industry's rapidly changing workforce needs by providing local San Antonio college students with public utility career experience. Through the internship program students are paired with a mentor to acquire meaningful hands-on experience that expands their understanding of how the industry works and exposes them to essential skills they must acquire or develop to be successful. The internship is not only meant for the intern to learn how to do things, but to also understand the rationale behind the strategies that are being used. The Financial Services Intern will perform account reconciliations and associated financial analysis, technical accounting research to determine proper implementation of accounting standards and prepares various analytical schedules and reports. Minimum Skills
Personal Computer Usage Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Demonstrates effective communication skills - both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic mail.
If in possession of a valid Texas Driver's License, must have favorable driving record.
The ability to work with detailed quantitative data.
Ability to examine information and apply logical thought processes
The ability to work with a teammate and assists customers when teammate is out of office. Preferred Qualifications

Working Environment
Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi- functioning printer and calculator. Physical Demands
