The Role

The Lead Internal Communications Specialist will support the development and execution of AXS's global internal communications strategy, working in close partnership with the Director, Internal Communications and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, engaging, and aligned messaging across all departments. This role will be instrumental in bringing AXS's internal storytelling to life-crafting employee communications, managing internal campaigns, and supporting key initiatives that drive engagement, culture, and alignment across product, sales, ticketing operations, customer support, marketing, and engineering teams. This role will help tailor communications to reflect the unique voice, values, and innovation-driven culture of AXS, while remaining in sync with AEG's broader corporate communications direction. The Lead Communications Specialist will play a hands-on role in planning and executing organizational announcements, internal events, executive messaging, and employee experience initiatives across AXS's global footprint.

What Will You Do?



  • Support the execution of AXS's global internal communications strategy in close partnership with the Director of Internal Communications, helping to implement processes, tools, and messaging frameworks that connect employees to company priorities, culture, and leadership.
  • Write, edit, and manage internal content such as company announcements, executive messaging, newsletters, spotlight features, and intranet updates that reflect AXS's brand and tone.
  • Plan and run internal campaigns tied to AXS' business priorities, product launches, and cultural moments to drive engagement and alignment.
  • Help maintain and improve internal communications channels unique to AXS, ensuring content is engaging, easy to access, and up to date.
  • Support internal communications processes during organizational change or sensitive moments, including crisis communications.
  • Coordinate internal events, amplify internal programs, and elevate leadership visibility through messaging, planning support, and content development.
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to cross-functional teams-including product, sales, ticketing ops, and customer support-helping shape messaging that's clear, transparent, and aligned with AXS's strategic goals and cultural values.
  • Monitor AXS's employee engagement and feedback channels, including surveys, pulse checks, and direct feedback, using insights to inform content planning, optimize delivery methods, and improve overall communications effectiveness.


What Will You Bring?



  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Relevant humanities-based major(s)
  • 4-6 years Experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, or related field
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and navigating complex, cross-functional environments
  • Experience ensuring all internal messaging is clear, concise, and consistent with brand voice and tone
  • Experience with internal communications platforms (e.g., Slack, SharePoint, Notion, email platforms) is a plus
  • Proven ability to write and edit high-quality, audience-appropriate content with speed and clarity
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to juggle multiple workstreams at once
  • A collaborative and thoughtful communicator who can translate business strategy into compelling messaging
  • Proactive, self-directed, and excited to help build and improve internal comms systems and culture
  • Passion for company culture, transparency, and employee engagement



Pay Scale: $83,277 - $95,000

Bonus:This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
