About the Position The Management Assistant supports the Senior Real Property Specialists, Real Property Specialists, and the Real Estate Manager. The Management Assistant contributes to the planning and coordination of processes and procedures for the General County Division. About Us The Maricopa County Real Estate Department (RED) partners with various departments and agencies to acquire space and improvements for County personnel and land for infrastructure improvement projects. RED maintains real property data on County owned and leased facilities in an extensive real estate database software, called the Land Management System. We Require
Two years of experience providing administrative, technical, and analytical support to management and senior staff Associate degree A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Urban Planning or a STEM field Demonstrated experience in any of the following: acquisition of real estate; real property rights; title and escrow services; contract or grant writing; government land operations; land planning; property engineering; space leasing; property management; and real property appraising/assessing Highly proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel Experience with ESRI ArcMap or ArcPro
Job Contributions
Assist the division by analyzing the volume of the portfolio and trends. Create correspondence, reports, or other materials for review or official signature Assist with managing the RED General County lease/license/county fee portfolio in the Land Management System Lead in document migration to OnBase repository, Land Management System, records retention, indexing, and research. and continued data management of County electronic and hard copy real estate documents Monitors status/tracking of Board meeting dates and Board agenda items, project timelines, deadlines, and other expirations, such as escrow closing, vendor assignments, and lease expiration Coordinate, manage, review, prepare, and upload Board of Supervisor Agenda and submit agenda items and electronic documents for supervisor review and approval Assist the Real Estate Manager with required annual reporting
Working Conditions
Possess or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid Arizona driver's license Ability to lift up to 10 lbs; sitting most of the time Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
