As a Lead Product Manager in Vivint Technology (VT), you will oversee a team of product managers. The product team is responsible for multiple product(s) and/or capabilities contained within Salesforce; this includes native features, custom-built solutions, and a hybrid of both, integrated into a seamless experience for users. You will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, driving innovation, and ensuring that our products deliver exceptional user experiences. You will manage high-impact projects, lead cross-functional teams, resolve complex challenges, and work closely with product leadership to align product strategies with the company's long-term objectives.

This role demands a unique balance of Salesforce platform expertise, user-centric product thinking, strong team leadership skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across departments to deliver innovative and user-centric products and experiences.

This person should bring product vision that looks beyond what Salesforce offers out-of-the-box, identifying creative and scalable ways to meet user needs through customization, integration, or alternative tools.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:



  • Ability to go beyond what's possible in Salesforce today to envision better user experiences, leveraging external tools or custom development when appropriate
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups to align product strategy with business objectives
  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for your products and capabilities, aligned with the overall product and company objectives
  • Develop and execute product roadmaps to achieve strategic goals and ensure alignment across departments


Team Leadership:



  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
  • Facilitate team collaboration and ensure effective communication among product team members and stakeholders
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews to provide constructive feedback to team members


Cross-Functional Collaboration:



  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and business stakeholders to align on product priorities, ensure seamless product development, and launch
  • Act as the primary point of contact between product management and other departments, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables
  • Coordinate with UX/UI designers to ensure a user-centric approach in product development


Product Development:



  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality product
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements to create high-level requirements and objectives
  • Guide product managers to create detailed product specifications


Product Lifecycle Management:



  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including planning, development, launch, and retirement strategies
  • Monitor and assess product performance post-launch, making data-driven decisions for product iterations and enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the product lifecycle


Performance Monitoring:



  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate product success and user satisfaction
  • Regularly analyze product performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and new opportunities
  • Prepare and present performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations


Stakeholder Engagement:



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product and engineering leadership, customers, and business partners
  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to gather feedback, communicate and demo product updates, and align on strategic initiatives and priorities
  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to engage stakeholders in the product development process


Performance Management:



  • Implement processes for continuous improvement in product management practices and team performance
  • Set clear objectives and goals for your product management team, aligning them with organizational priorities
  • Address performance issues promptly and implement strategies for team and individual development


Defining Product Roadmap and Vision:



  • Articulate a clear and compelling product vision that inspires and aligns the team and stakeholders
  • Conduct market research and customer interviews to refine the product vision and ensure it meets user needs
  • Continuously iterate on the product vision based on feedback and changing market conditions
  • Stay current with Salesforce roadmap



Skills/Characteristics:



  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Strategic vision and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • High level of expertise in product management and user analysis
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skill
  • Ability to formulate product opinions, make key decisions, and defend those decisions


  • Ability to think beyond Salesforce and understand how to create seamless end-to-end workflows through integrations or alternate platforms


Education:



  • Highschool Diploma required


Mnimum Requirements:



  • 5-10 years of experience in product management, including at least 2 years working directly with Salesforce products
  • Experience managing other Product Managers (at varying levels of experience, from entry-level to senior)
  • Experience managing teams and driving product strategy
  • Experience delivering user-facing features within Salesforce and connected experiences that span platforms
