Job Overview: The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator plays a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing and logistics processes in the ARO Mooresville Solutions Center. This position will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of a warehouse or facility, verifying shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient operations. Shipping & Receiving associate with also be handling coordinating material handling, inventory management, and overall support for production. Responsibilities include supplying materials to production workstations, aiding in material handling, inventory control, cycle counts, and facilitating various production tasks as needed. Additionally, this role assists with documentation, cleanup, and changeovers. A successful candidate will operate self-sufficiently, with proactive communication skills to ensure timely material delivery to production operators for seamless workflow between workstations.
Responsibilities: * Receiving and Processing Shipments: Load / unload trucks, manage inbound / outbound materials, products and equipment. Verify shipments for accuracy and quality. * Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently. Box items and crate material as appropriate. Create shipping labels and maintain detailed records. Work with carriers for pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient transport of goods. * Inventory Management: Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in storage areas on or near the assembly cells. Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and checking counts regularly to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. * Equipment Operation & Maintenance. Operate powered pneumatic or electric tools, fork trucks, hoists as well as hand tools required for performing job duties. Effectively use measuring devices such as tape measures, scales (for weight). Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and create work orders for tools / equipment to be repaired as needed. * Safety: Maintain safe and clean working environment. Be knowledgeable of and follow all applicable safety rules and procedures. Support 5S and safety audits, promoting adherence to standards. * Quality: Inspect products for defects or damages and report any issues. Assist with inspection of outgoing parts for quality compliance as needed. Utilize continuous improvement techniques to minimize errors and enhance productivity. * Production: Efficiently move materials, parts, and assemblies to support uninterrupted production flow. * Communication & Collaboration: Work in a team environment and assist co-workers in other areas as needed. Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve production-related issues. * Record Keeping and Documentation: Complete transfer orders accurately within ERP. Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading and packing slips. Complete all required reports. * All other duties as assigned by the supervisor/team leader.
Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED * 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. * 1+ years of experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery. Forklift certification is a plus. * Experience with inventory tracking software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS or similar). * Ability to accurately process purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices. * Experience using barcode scanners, RF systems, and related technology. * Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work cohesively with others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Have ability and willingness to learn how to operate all equipment associated with the position; including, but not limited to, warehouse equipment, power hand tools, forklifts, pallet jack, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: This position will be based at our site in Mooresville, NC, with no anticipated travel.
