About the Team/Role Accounting Support: Checks and verifies cost accounting, account payable records, prepares invoices and vouchers, types, files, posts ledger and general journal entries, and/or balances accounts payable and accounts receivable records. Uses office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. May reconcile difficult accounts. May maintain a complete and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting. Experience you'll bring * Ensures that payments received from customers are applied accurately and timely to receivables accounts * Works closely with collections, customer service and/or other internal stakeholders to ensure that issues with customer postings or misapplied payments are resolved in a timely manner with no customer disruption. * Processes and records all payments types including ACH Payments, Wires and lockbox activity. * Responsible for processing adjustments, write-offs, refunds, debits and credits. * Compiles, sorts and files documents, any rejected checks, adjustment and refund forms. * Performs research on various accounting processes * Supports Team Management with creating, maintaining and executing processes and procedures that incorporate controls to mitigate financial risk while emphasizing efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of transactions Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. Must be able to thrive in a deadline and detail-oriented environment. The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
