Purpose: The Assistant Manager Store Development - Visual Concept Planning supports the implementation of global Visual Merchandising (VM) and In-Store Communication (ISC) strategies for new store openings and remodels across North America. This role assists in ensuring consistent and high-quality execution of concepts and formats aligned with brand and creative direction, delivering a compelling and purposeful consumer experience in retail environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Store Design, Buying, and Planning teams to develop store layouts and floorplans focused on VM and ISC tools, ensuring alignment with market objectives.
- Analyze fixture capacities to validate proposed floorplans, maintaining concept integrity while adapting to varying store sizes and formats.
- Support the creation and validation of fixture order lists-including VM, ISC, and sales support tools (e.g., hangers and mannequins).
- Prepare comprehensive handover decks with VM and ISC guidelines for key stakeholders (Marketing, Buying, Planning, Ops), enabling smooth store openings.
- Participate in regular project meetings, providing timeline updates and capturing feedback or follow-ups.
- Assist in developing standardized store kits for new store openings based on store type and priority.
- Independently manage tasks and projects given by line manager.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience in Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SketchUp, Dtail, or other 2D/3D modeling tools.
- Strong interest in new retail environments.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve shared goals.
- Strong influencing and communications skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of business and third parties.
- Ability to coach and train retail store management, store associates and Retail Back Office counterparts.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of time
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum 1-3 years' experience in retail visual merchandising including fashion retailing or a similar role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years working with global markets or 1+ working in a top tier adidas market.
- Ability to lift or carry 20 lbs
- Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for long periods of time
