Description

Summary/Purpose of the Position:

The TB Sales Product Specialist work with a team to ensure a great customer experience and product delivery. This role is responsible for developing sales, pricing and profitability strategies, recommend improvements, identifies opportunities for sales and add-on sales. The TB Sales Product Specialist will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to create and maintain relationships with the customers.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:



  • Communicating with potential and existing clients via all methods (calls, emails, chats etc.) in a timely manner
  • Ability to complete order assignments in a timely and thorough manner
  • Communicating within the team regarding all vendor updates
  • Handling technical escalations on high dollar products
  • Providing excellent customer service to all clients on potential and existing orders
  • Increase sales by means of cross-selling, up-selling, and add-on sales
  • Prepare accurate and complete quotations, including market relative pricing
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a monthly basis
  • Manage customer relationships pre- and post-sale, including a strategy to build repeat business
  • Work with team to provide guidance and technical support to complete and exceed sales goals, including but not limited to, sharing technical expertise and working to find solutions to customer applications as needed for sales facilitation
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, support and training as needed for call center team members with regards to meeting and exceeding sales goals, including but limited to working with call center management and team leads on call, email and chat escalations
  • Work with other departments, including pricing and marketing teams, to address and help fix any issues that may arise, including pricing and item availability issues, item description issues and issues related to product information on company website
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of products and technology through vendor seminars and training sessions
  • Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss updates, processes, and review improvements/training opportunities
  • Utilize CRM database to find specific product or customer accounts to grow sales and keep up to date and accurate notes on customers
  • Working with vendors and offering demos where applicable
  • Indirectly responsible for product quality
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associates/Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years B2B sales experience required (Selling into the K-12 Education/Higher Education vertical markets a plus)
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Ability to grow and maintain a book of business
  • Possess the skills to identify and find leads through self-created methods

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
