Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Business Analyst; 340B Auditor is responsible for monitoring of strategies and initiatives to financially support the successful expansion of the 340B program and will assist to facilitate 340B projects with large and measurable impacts to the bottom line. Incumbent is responsible for complex administrative analysis focusing on 340B compliance, performance monitoring, implementation and integration of 340B split billing software, contract pharmacy program oversight, and process improvement activities in each of these areas. As a member of the Pharmacy team, collaborates with the team to plan organize and operate the department to achieve unit and organizational goals, meet customer needs, assure high quality services and products, and meet regulatory requirements.

The Pharmacy Business Analyst is responsible for pharmacy systems and outcomes in supply chain analysis, product, procurement and selection, inventory control, reporting, 340B program analysis, monthly reporting, dispensing patterns, inventory process, contract pharmacy optimization, billing processes, charge master maintenance, information support systems/technology development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong problem solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Strong knowledge, understanding and experience in finance/accounting
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite, namely Excel
  • Project management expertise and complex system oversight
  • Must be self-motivated with an ability to work well with teams
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues and trends to devise solutions and lead improvement
  • Experience in data mining techniques and procedures
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of information support systems and analytical tools
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to apply a high degree of analytical, interpretive and evaluative skills, frequently dealing with complex concepts and imaginative approaches to problem resolution
  • Ability of apply a high degree of evaluative, analytical, and interpretive skills with complex concepts and projects, and communicate effectively (verbal and written) to constituents
  • 2 years of financial operations experience and/or pharmacy operations experience in healthcare environment
  • 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit and/or compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician License or Certificate
  • Pharmacy Technician License in the State of California in good standing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical abbreviations
  • Knowledge of 340B program
