The Role

The Lead Project Manager - Public Sector is a key position in the Strategic Government Program Management Organization. The Lead Technical Project Manager-SLED will be responsible to lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of complex telecommunication infrastructure projects.

The Main Responsibilities

*Provides technical direction to engineering projects and services in an assigned area, from design to start-up.
*Lead to ensure that the project is on schedule, is high quality, is within budget, and meets the measures of success (MOS) and the high-level achievements (HLA).
*Oversee and mitigate risks across technical functional lanes to ensure that project meets agreed upon SLAs.
*Lead and maintain client/stakeholder partnership to ensure overall satisfaction.
*Responsible for resource requirements/allocation.
*Develops methodologies, procedures, and systems to produce financial reporting.
*Acts as project team leader.
*Develops project progress and status reports.
*Maintain knowledge in several of the following: mainframe development, midrange development, builds software development lifecycle management, software testing methodology, production deployment, technical architecture development, and requirements management.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of Federal Telecommunications Program Management and customer liaison experience a must
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and associated Microsoft Office suit
  • Ability to prepare customer and high-level management PowerPoint Presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional / Project Management Institute (PMP/PMI) certification is high desirable
  • Solid understanding of Data Services installation activities for federal government agencies
  • 5-7 years of Federal Data Services Transition and Implementation Program Management
    • * Strong working knowledge of Lumen Ordering and Provisioning processes desirable
      * Ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment
      * Successful experience in the development of proposals for Federal programs
      * Builds and maintains excellent customer relationships, especially with the contracting officer's technical and senior management
      * Working knowledge of MS Project and associated MS Office suites
      * Requires strong knowledge of Wi-Fi, managed Wi-Fi, and Traditional Data Services
      * Strong verbal and written communication skills
      * Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
      * Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task, stressful environment
      * Ability to manage process/procedural changes - a thorough understanding of SLED contracts
      * Ability to create and matrix-manage various functional teams
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$82,969 - $110,625 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$91,266 - $121,688 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
