*TekSystems is hiring for a Medical Office Coordinator in the Baltimore area!!! *
*MUST HAVE: 2-3 years of recent medical administrative experience, any specialty experience is a huge plus! HOURS: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM! This position must travel 2 days a week to the Timonium location, the other 3 days will be in Baltimore. * *Description* Responsible for providing high-quality patient service, administrative support, and financial administration for the daily operations of medical practice. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations. 2.Acts as a backup resource for administrative positions within the practice. 3.Acts as a patient advocate and handles incoming complaints and concerns related to billing and collections to attain maximum patient satisfaction. Maintains ongoing communication with the billing company. 4.Assures adherence to my MedStar Management Guidelines including, but not limited to the following: reviews material in Toolkit with all associates and assures they complete training, provides daily management of patient portal transactions, assures workflow procedures are implemented, offers access to the portal to all appropriate patients, reviews monthly dashboard performance reports (SLA's) and intervenes as appropriate, assures marketing materials are maintained and displayed with the medical office, escalates any problems/concerns as appropriate, maintains communication with IS patient portal team to provide staff updates as needed and notifies my MedStar team if the primary or back-up contact changes. 5.Demonstrates behavior consistent with MedStar Health's mission, vision, goals, objectives, and patient care philosophy. 6.Implements, monitors, and reinforces MedStar Health and MedStar Medical Group policies and procedures. Works with the Practice Administrator to modify and streamline workflows and improve other processes to create an efficient practice. 7.Oversees and audits the balancing of cash receipts and preparing the daily deposits and end-of-shift reconciliation in the Practice Management System. 8.Performs all user audits and functions related to staff inputting data into the Practice Management System. Performs assigned audit functions to ensure data is properly communicated to the billing company. 9.Performs other duties as assigned. 10.Reviews encounter forms daily for completeness and correctness. Addresses coding problems with providers. Alerts Practice Administrator if additional coding training is needed. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* 2-3 years of Patient Service Coordinator Experience Pain Management Experience (Plus), Any experience with sports Medicine is a huge plus! Surgery Scheduling and EOB experience. Clinical Posting Experience for surgeries would be a huge plus! *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
